Why Brawlhalla is rated “Works”
The developers ship Brawlhalla for Mac. When you install it through Sommelier, the Mac build goes in instead of the Windows one, so there is no Windows layer in between and nothing to translate while you play.
Online play uses Easy Anti-Cheat, and on a Mac it does not let you in. Play offline and you are fine.
