Can you play New World: Aeternum on Mac?
No, not today. New World: Aeternum is online-only and its anti-cheat (Easy Anti-Cheat) does not allow Macs.

Why New World: Aeternum won’t run on Mac
New World: Aeternum has no offline mode, and every online match is protected by Easy Anti-Cheat, which checks that the game runs on real Windows. On a Mac it does not, so the game is closed or you are refused at the door.
The anti-cheat belongs to the game’s publisher, so Sommelier or any other Mac tool can’t switch it off. It also has nothing to do with how fast your Mac is.

This may change
Anti-cheat rules and Mac support move. If the publisher changes either one, Sommelier shows the new status here and in the app, so there is nothing for you to keep checking.

Elite DangerousQuestions about New World: Aeternum on Mac
Can I play New World: Aeternum on Mac with Sommelier?
No. Sommelier tells you this before you download the game, so you don’t spend 100 GB on it.
Is there a workaround?
Not a reliable one. Apple Silicon Macs can’t run Windows directly, and anti-cheat like Easy Anti-Cheat usually blocks virtual machines too. We don’t recommend trying to get around it: it can get your account banned.
Will New World: Aeternum ever work on Mac?
Only if the publisher changes its anti-cheat or the game’s Mac support. Sommelier shows the new status on this page and in the app when that happens.
