Why Sons Of The Forest is rated “Unknown”
Valve rates Sons Of The Forest “Unsupported” on Steam Deck because it needs more graphics power than the Deck has. A recent Mac with plenty of memory may do better, but it is not confirmed, so it is rated “Unknown” instead of a guess.
It uses DirectX 11, which Sommelier translates to Metal with its own graphics layer. That works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
No anti-cheat is listed for the game, so nothing of that kind is known to block it.
